Okay first off I liked this issue. It had some great moments with Helena's first getting her costume, swiping her priest/foster brother's purple sash (every girls got to have some accessories even if she doesn't do dresses), and some great action. I do think this issue had less story in it then the first and second issues and I am very much a more-is-good kind of guy when it comes to story. I have read some reviews from other fans of the series that wrote to Ivory had heard that Ivory favored the cramming more story into the issues but that this issue was to be more fast paced, lean, action oriented. I get what that, but I prefer the other two issues breadth. I can't wait until the next issue to see how things play out.
