Why to read "Why Peace" ...and how to pronounce my name

AntiWar.com's Scott Horton interviewed Marc Guttman about his recently released book "Why Peace", in which I have a chapter. I've been remiss in not getting around to reading the other chapters, but this interview makes me eager to get started. There are really some amazing stories in here: From victims of war, and from some of its perpetrators. Most compelling, I think, is that many of the writers tell of their own transformations from once supporting war to now opposing it.
(And yes guys, it happens all the time. People never know how to pronounce my name - Scott was right though, it's "Bret-nee".)
"Civilization is a stream with banks. The stream is sometimes filled with blood from people killing, stealing, shouting and doing the things historians usually record, while on the banks, unnoticed, people build homes, make love, raise children, sing songs, write poetry and even whittle statues. The story of civilization is the story of what happened on the banks."”
