Bretigne Shaffer spent nearly ten years as a journalist in Asia. She is the author of "Memoirs of a Gaijin", "Why Mommy Loves the State", and "Urban Yogini: A Superhero Who Can't Use Violence". She contributed to the anthology "Why Peace", and her articles appear on LewRockwell.com and Barron's. She is currently working on a book on prenatal yoga. Bretigne lives with her husband and two children in the Los Angeles area.
