In the "spirit" of Red Room being a place for writers to blog on either the art or content of writing, one notable blog with an enduring popularity over several years combines both areas in one posting, namely, "The Art of Writing a Sex Scene."
Predictably and candidly enough, for me, inexorably defined by my sexual nature, as it were, for better or worse, as for all of us, to an extent far greater than I would have preferred had there been, in the poet's words, a choice to re-shape the world closer to the heart's desires, it was the sex part rather than the technicalities of the craft of writing that immediately caught my undivided attention.
Unlike the misleading stereotyped image (in my opinion) of the typical male who unreservedly delights in, if not flaunts, his sexuality, I have to believe..........
[If interested in my remaining thoughts on male sexuality, please go to my homepage and under my writings click on the essay titled "Far Lower Than Angels But More Than Just Beasts." You may be surprised by what I have to say on this sensitive (at least to many men) subject.]
