The weather has been getting so nice here that I'm itching to find some good hiking trails. A friend at work told me about a couple of great places so maybe I'll look this weekend. Daryl and I started taking 10 km walks last summer and we want to pick that up again. We love talking to each other, so walks like these allow us to indulge without feeling like we're taking time away from other things, like getting to bed early enough so I'm not dragging my butt all day...

The new job is going very well, so well that I'm surprised. I've never had a job that kept me this busy. Some days I feel panicky that the clock is moving too fast. Never thought I'd feel that way! It's good because there's nothing I hate more than being bored. This job will never allow that. The people I work with are fantastic. I feel lucky to have landed such a nice position.

I've always wondered what it would be like to live in Kelowna and I'm surprised how much I love it. I was such a fan of Kamloops with the beautiful views and the weather, but Kelowna is just as nice, if not more so. The views here are stunning and the weather, well, let's just say I'm not going to be needing the parka any longer.

The sunshine makes me open up like a flower. I love sitting outside at work, or going for a walk on my lunch break just to enjoy it. I'm a California girl at heart.
