I met this lovely lady in a park on my way to class, and struck up a "conversation" with her. Rather, she almost "struck" me because I didn't know the Celtic language, to which some of the Irish were returning at that time. She broke from her Celtic long enough to give me a lecture and to teach me a few words. My roommate in Goatstown, Dublin, Nadia Reimer, watched us, as we studied each other, people from two generations and two worlds. She was at the moment of this photograph, astounded by my inability to understand her Celtic words, which were quite beautiful. We did embrace on parting, though she shook her finger at me as a reminder to learn the true Irish language.
