Alabama Poets: A Contemporary Anthology; "Mother Taught Me I Was Beautiful"; "How Aliens Survive"; "Take Me Down That Row"
Not available.

Bonnie gives an overview of the book:

As described by the editor, Ralph Hammond, Al poet, now deceased:   "The Greeks tell us that an anthology is a 'gathering of flowers' This collection, then, is a gathering of poetical flowers from the Alabama scene. Its ultimate purpose is to celebrate the State's contemporary poets and to link them with a reading audience. These criteria were used to determine the selection of poets for this anthology.  They must be native Alabamians, or they must have lived at least a decade in Alabama and developed a major body of creative work while domiciled here.  And, of course, their poetry must have attained a single dimension of quality." This anthology was published in conjunction with The Alabama Reunion.
