I worked as a columnist, photo journalist, investigative reporter and feature stringer in the greater Seattle area back in those glorious days when local newspapers had lots of pages and robust circulation. Next, I spent four years as moderator for two community writers groups in the Puget Sound region, completing my first novel: Mostly Sunny With Scattered Showers--a coming of age dramedy set in 1969. These days I'm working on a second novel while that first book marinates (hence, putting off dreaded major surgery my first book will need.)
I live a short drive from Seattle with my husband in an oddball 1931 farmhouse apparently built by drunk Norwegians with minimal carpentry skills. We have two adult kids. In my spare time I play Gypsy Jazz ukulele with friends in Seattle (often until 3am).
