Social Media and Writing
Blog Post by Bob Mustin - Aug.04.2011 - 7:24 pm
What with the writing world being turned upside down - even to the point of some agents recommending to clients to self-publish (yes, all self-pub proceeds are then subject to an agent's cut), it's hard to get noticed. (Hardly a shocking revelation, is it?) Even with a mid-list publishing contract, one still has to provide one's own publicity. And social media is one avenue.
I've tried social media as an outlet before, and spent probably more than I should have - for minimal results. This time, I'm using Facebook's mini-ads, with specific target audiences, and it seems to be working a bit better. Wish me luck, and stay tuned.
