Bob, good read but I think the horse has been out of the gate for quite some time now. The unravelling of our "American Way" has been so undermined by all sides involved its difficult to have any idea where to start at cleaning it up.
Gone, blown away! No one cares about why we're playing this game anymore. The only thing that matters is winning at any cost! and of course, getting on your favored news program. Lashing out and out debating your American adversary is more important than taking action to solve an injustice. Fairing well as a talk show panelist is more rewarding than voicing an unpopular hard truth. Receiving applause from your handpicked audience garners so much planning and strategizing that that becomes the game and the issue versus the many obvious issue's already plaguing our tired nation.
What to do? man, if there is an answer out there I sure haven't heard anyone voice it. Surely, no one from the political-know more than thou-mainstream!
