Being born on the same day as Prince and Nikki Giovanni always meant something special to Biba Adams.
As a small child, her mother's only child, she was immersed in music and words. They were her mother's passions and great ways to quiet the constant chattering of her Gemini mind and mouth.
By the age of 3, she was reading the headlines of newspapers. By 9, she had written her first short story. By 12, she had won her first poetry contest. Words took precedence over music, however it was a close contest.
Biba found herself when she discovered the Detroit hip-hop music scene and she quickly worked her way up through it's ranks becoming a leader within the close-knit community and earning the nickname, Detroit's Daughter.
After a long and exciting career in music marketing, Biba decided to write full-time as an Entertainment Journalist. Since, she has been featured in numerous local and national publications and while Detroit is her specialty niche, her emotive writing brings out the best in any interview subject.
Biba is currently working on her first novel, a romantic suspense that will combine her two first loves, words and music to create a passionate story set to a hip hop beat.
Biba Adams is a graduate of Marygrove College in Detroit, MI where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a minor in Philosophy. She is the proud mother of one daughter, Maria.
I love to crochet, read, and watch films.
