I'm sitting on my unfinished back porch, the green fields surround me. The birds serenade me with their evening song. The river rushes in the distance...my background music.
Spring has finally arrived in my world. She was slow in coming, but the tulips and daffodils tell me she's truly come to stay. That doesn't mean Old Man Winter might not try to poke his head in for one last hoorah with a frosty morning here and there. But breaking out my new pink flip flops, white wine and strawberries is my way of telling Old Man Winter his time is done. He had his party in my part of the world longer than he was welcome. The world is letting him know it's Lady Spring's turn to reign. Trees bud out in pinks, whites and purples....their party attire. The fresh, new leaves peek out hesitantly at first, then open with gusto celebrating the warm days. The hills sing with green. Celebrating their short time of life. Brown is their normal attire. Green, the color of life, is short lived on our hills, but when they wear green, they celebrate with the fields around them. Matching attire for Lady Spring's Royal Coronation.
Flip flops, white wine and strawberries....my personal celebration of Lady Spring's arrival. Long Reign Lady Spring!

Very nice description! It's such a great sensory explosion that I'm right inside of it. Thanks for that!
