Exciting news to share, and some sad news too ...

Lately I've been caught in a confetti kind of whilrwind. I just received word that in addition to foreign right sales (Italy, Germany, France, Israel, and Korea), Book-Of-The-Month Club just purchased rights as well. This is a package deal including: Literary Guild, Doubleday, Rhapsody, Doubleday Large Print. Thorndike Press also purchased rights for large print. Jenna Lamia is narrating the Audio CD, and I couldn't be more pleased. She is enormously talented.
I'm feeling very blessed by all these events, yet it's bittersweet. My dad passed away on Sunday, and though he knew much of what had transpired, he never had the chance to hold my book in his hands.

the mixed blessing thing
Hi Beth,
Just wanted to offer both congratulations and condolences to you. I had a somewhat similar experience with my first novel, so I can imagine some of what you've been going through...
