How May I Help You Get to Heaven
By Bernadette A. Moyer
Assuming you believe in heaven, and I do, what if, every person we met and every relationship that we have our intention was simply “how may I help you to end up in heaven?” Imagine that. Touch the joys and troubles of your friends and neighbors. Shared life is a shared prayer.
If we lived our entire life with that single goal, to bring out the very best in every single person we meet along the way. Our lifetime would already become “heavenly” for that act of consciousness alone would change the current societal thrust from being divisive to becoming one of love and unity. Just that thought alone, my only motivation for each and every person I meet along the way is simple and pure and heaven worthy.
What might I do to bring out the best in everyone and help to set them up for a life and an eternity that is heaven worthy.
“Common sense is the measure of the possible; it is composed of experience and prevision; it is calculation applied to life.” Henri Frederic Amiel
How may I help you to get to heaven? What if we just started with one single person our spouse and our life partner and we approached that relationship every day with a single motivating thought and followed those thoughts with actions. What may I do to help you to live a life that sets you up for heaven?
Think how good you would feel about yourself, if you approached life with that desire and made that single declaration? What a world if would and what a world it could be …
How about if that became our theme of the day and therefore our goal for this lifetime? How may I help you get into heaven? As we age we think about all that we have done and all that we learned and all that we endured. Most often we do think about what comes next. Where the body may perish the soul lives on. If we lived a heavenly life, wouldn’t we be predisposed to a heavenly afterlife?
What I know for sure, whether you believe in heaven or hell, we create our reality here in this lifetime. Is it a heavenly existence or a hellish one? I have to believe that if I align myself and those closest to me to get to heaven not only have I worked toward a noble cause but I am much more likely to leave this heavenly life for the heavenly afterlife that I imagine it to be.
Here is to living a life that is heaven worthy in this life and the next. Amen.
