A place to excite the senses and write.
Sedona, a vortex wonder, tagged as a Spiritual Haven by many enduring factions, continues to prosper in the declining economy as declared by the national media. Development projects have declined, but tourism has escalated. Home sales have curtailed, but home buyers are still making offers.
Every day of the week busloads of camera toting tourists roam Uptown Sedona businesses. Starbucks is profiting. Hyatt timeshare sales are up with sky-rocketing pricing. The Wildflower Bakery restaurant is packed full every hour of the day. The Cowboy Restaurant takes reservations a month in advance. The Orchard restaurant overflows with waiting lines onto the sidewalk.
You don't know what a vortex is? Google it. The magnetic fields twist tree trunks into alien looking forms. If you stand still over one, they're so strong you'd swear you were levitating, naked, for every person to see. But, the other people feel they're levitating too, so, they don't notice you.
Locals, after many decades of development, still call Sedona a spiritual environment. Uptown Sedona isn't much fun unless you enjoy shopping for t-shirts and eating hot dogs. The spectacular surrounding red rocks and canyons are the drawing features. Hiking through nature's silence and observing spectacular landscapes will keep your imagination busy for days.
Come one, come all. Take a chance at levitating and write a story about it.
