As the American people grow ever more cognizant of where the true problems lie within the Nation, we find that what started with the President being elected as a virtual panacea for what was "wrong" with Government has quickly become a poison pill that we have all been forced to reluctantly gulp down. This fact can be more readily seen with every day that passes, which must always includes far more bad news than good, as a vague shadow of pessimism settles over a weary but resolute populace. The Nation now seems ill and the symptomatic fever which has spread into the heartland shows no signs of abating as of yet.
For example, in a figurative exclamation point as to how far America has quickly fallen as a nation, we need only look no further than Atlanta, GA. Recently, a mob of over 30,000 people waited under a searing sun for just the opportunity to fill out Public Housing Assistance vouchers. One reporter who surveyed the scene was shocked to the point of stating that he felt as if he were witnessing "a scene from Uganda," which is a Third World developing nation at best. The question, which floats about in far too many American's thoughts, seems to be: Is this what We are slowly becoming?
Interestingly, and as with all things in concert with American history, most of the Civil Society is now coming to the conclusion that the Liberals, Democrats, Leftists and Progressives, in their mad experiment with redistributive Socialism, have had their day. The extreme carnage in virtually every sector, as a predictive result, has been beyond horrid to observe. As the instigators now maunder about with their hands held up in what could only be a supplicative gesture of "what, you gave it to us, what do we do now?", the ever-more, historically responsive parties must now wade in, roll up their sleeves over heavily corded and worried arms, and set to work in correcting the "presumably innocent" younglings' heart-wrenching mess. It's not that the "first responders" mind doing it, it's just that they are increasingly weary from an incessant onslaught, which we have all been forced to somehow persevere through over this season of mindless, progressive, Utopian madness.
A Sandbox of Swaggering Braggarts
The parents of the nation's history, it would seem, have always been forbearing, forgiving traditionalists who know how things work, but even more especially, know how to "fix things." Not that this particular toil in the sun is going to be easy; they really have their work cut out for them in this case. But we do understand. We know that the Liberal usurpers must have, indeed, meant well, or this is what we must now convince ourselves of at least. But we offer up a warning to the Liberals, just for future consideration. A hard as this may be to believe, we, the Conservatives in Business and in Government and beyond, being the Civil Guardians of liberty and the nation's pragmatically hardened heart, cannot always fix everything. A Country of strong, willful, hardworking people is a difficult thing to totally defeat; however, to the swaggering Statist Braggarts among us, who seem as but children playing in a national sandbox, we must say that you have "most endearingly" outdone even yourselves this time.
At this particular point, we must remind you of a lesson that all must come to grips with at some point. The routes in life, in travel, or even in Governance, established for us by those who came before, are there for a definite reason. Roads, streets, and even paths, both ideological and actual, not only guide us to a given destination but, equally as important, help smooth the journey in what is more often than not a joyride at best, or a travail at worst. These pre-established routes purposefully provide us with a means to progress through our journeys--or even our lives--without having to continually blaze new trails every time we wish to sojourn. In fact, we have even been given a roadmap to follow and refer to, if we so choose, from the greatest of all Architects in existence.
Granted, breaking off from the trail or the beaten path is often an adventure of enormous enjoyment and discovery; conversely, however, it can also easily turn into a misadventure which then involves struggle and toil of enormous and far-reaching proportions--especially for those many or few who are dragged along by the principle players, whether intentionally or otherwise. One should also be aware of another particular, if not mystical thing that the Architect has thoughtfully provided for us--but in clues to be discerned by only the most studiously thoughtful. This particular idiom on its face is not well know, so we would ask those of the governing Liberals to think of their actions very carefully before they presume to continue their prior efforts--were they to actually listen. This both simple and yet complex idea has eluded many and cost untold spiritual harm over human history, so listen and pay heed.
The Unspoken Ordinate of Sentient Causality
Undesired or undue interference within other individual's lives is a matter to be avoided at any and all costs, either by those in positions of authority or otherwise, whenever and wherever possible. Whether such interference is active or passive in its nature is of little consideration. Even well-meaning interference can often have disastrous results if not carefully thought out by the wisest of the wise, and how many among us can truly be touted as the wisest of the wise, if any. Further, the many or the one in a position of making a difference must be requested to interlude in order to avoid all manner of resultant negative consequences, unless such request is improbable, as must be carefully discerned.
Anyone who reads the above can see all of the possibilities and all of the improbabilities rolled into one, which makes communicating these thoughts intrinsically difficult at best. But you can see the ideas at play and how a certain "ring of truth" attaches itself to one's thoughts while reading through. Though many of us, whether consciously or otherwise, have chosen to apply this unspoken dictum to the lives of our beloved children, it is often difficult at best to know when and how to apply the idea or when a certain inappropriateness overrides careful consideration.
The one other thing to bear in mind in concert with the above idea is just this:
All individuals, whether in positions of real authority and power, or even those considered to be the least among us, truthfully have no greater nor lesser value when meaningfully balanced on the scale of human worth.
As you do to the least of these, so you do to the greatest.
An Architecture of Liberty
Now, at this point, while some are vaguely recognizing a certain similarity, other students of history may have subtly recognized where these ideas may have found their Genesis. The origins of these ideas are no less than the US Constitution along with the Bill of Rights and The Declaration of Independence. In addition, the origins of the Charters of Freedom find their roots within the roadmap, already mentioned, as being thoughtfully provided by the Great Architect, no less.
So, while often great service is being verbally indentured to the People's endowment of the US Constitution by those currently in power, the actions being set into motion do not reflect those same ideals. Further, such "oral servicing" tends to be rooted in the existence of the Freedom Charters as nothing more than a revered set of historical documents rather than the spiritually exalting and historically enduring ideas contained within them.
Further, there is a current overriding, if not demoralizing suggestion, which is alien to any US Government leadership that has come before. Those currently in power have seemingly accepted near economic defeat or marginalization as being unavoidable. High joblessness levels, contracting incomes and an America that has historically functioned as a powerful engine of the world economy are now being parlayed as things of the past. We, as Americans, are being told that we can no longer expect such lofty aspirations.
Could this fatalistic attitude, seemingly born of perpetual underachievers rather than our previous history of extraordinary individuals born to leadership, actually be subduing the Nation's collective mindset as a whole? It has often been said that great expectations tend to attract far more success than those of marginal designs, and this seems to hold true in virtually any endeavor.
American Exceptionalism versus Global Pragmatism
Will we as Americans accept this particular "fatalistic" theory from those current Leaders who have been proved more often wrong than right in their economic--and otherwise--prognostications? I think not, along with several hundred million other Americans. We will both refuse and reject such notions despite whatever further damages those in power set into motion.
It has been observed, both in America and abroad, by certain Journalists, Politicians, Citizens and otherwise that our current Leadership has failed to extoll both the virtue and the fact of American Exceptionalism in a world that is, once again, starved for the economic and spiritual independence of Liberty.
Our recent and varied failures as a Nation, many would maintain, are most likely a direct result of a Presidential mindset that faultily sees--and endeavors to understand and impact issues--on a global basis rather than on a specific, nationally concerned basis. Our way of life--which was sworn in a Covenant to the American people-- to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States before hundreds of millions has not found its way to fruition as of yet.
So far the current Leadership of this Country has been confirmed as only having faithfully preserved, protected and defended an easily identifiable, obviously destructive and ill-fitting ideology, and therein lies the problem.
"Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith."
