I'm a Frankenstein freak. I've read the novel more times than I can count. I've taught it, loved it in its many film incarnations (to varying degrees), and referenced it in Shadows and Ghosts.
If you have a similar fondness for Mary Shelley's story, as well as its adaptations, and haven't seen this 1910 version from Thomas Edison and Edison Studios, take a look.
The quality is uneven, but it's a fascinating first film version of a literary classic.
