Cobwebs of the Mind
Blog Post by Barbara Froman - May.07.2012 - 7:21 am
Ted Gross interviewed me recently for his blog, Cobwebs of the Mind.
"Haunted by the past, trapped in a hospital bed and forced to face what you have been trying so hard to forget. A great read from author Barbara Froman in Shadows and Ghosts.

You got me
OK, Barbara. I have a couple of things to get out of the way--
then it's on to Shadows and Ghosts.
Sounds fascinating. My compliments.
Many thanks!
And I would love to read one of your books, Dolores, but can't decide where to start! Which would you recommend? They all sound so wonderful!

Which would you recommend?
Friends tell me that Ensnared puts the others in perspective. That seems like a good plan to me. No research and notes, just my life with Chaucer.
Recommendation
Thanks! I just ordered it and am looking forward to the read!
Me, too
Hi, Barbara.
My Mothers' Day plan is to take a bus from church to the mall. I'll visit Barnes and Noble to order Shadows and Ghosts, then take another bus home.
Your book will be delivered to me by mail next week, they tell me.
Good timing.
Hoping...
Thanks, Dolores! I hope you enjoy it. I ordered yours from Amazon (the last copy!), and it's supposed to arrive next week. Perfect timing, as I should be done with the book I'm currently reading by then.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Day's report
Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Hope you had a lovely day. I did my errand as planned. The bus runs only once an hour on Sunday, so had time to cogitate while sitting at the bus stop.
I think I've mentioned the "quilts" I'm making--just using up fabric that I've stored since before the computer became popular. lol Well, I had several new ideas for quilts come to me as I sat. Time well spent.
Ah, yes, Amazon. It may say it's the last copy--but they know where they can get a new supply if they want to. That's IF they want to.
Sunday
Yes, it was a quiet and relaxing day. And, thanks to FaceTime, I got to see my year-old granddaughter. Always a treat!
I hope you had good weather sitting at that bus stop!
I've always been a little awed by people who can quilt. Do you ever take pictures of your work? I'd love to see them!
As for Amazon, they sent an email today saying that the book has shipped. So, I should get it in a few days. Happy!
second try Don't know why the first disappeared
hope you had good weather sitting at that bus stop!
I don't say much about our weather. My Illinois family resents it. The days have been sunny and in the 70º-80º; the nights in the 50s. Yes, but were is our much needed rain?

Please remove any impression that these are works of art. They are for utility only. I'm using up fabric that has been waiting for ages! I'm finally getting around to doing it. They began as a necessity--old hand-me-down snowsuits turned into coverlets because we had too few blankets. My method has improved since then, but they are done quickly with a sewing machine. The family enjoys them. There is a photo of Rachel with the quilt I made for her --my blog Jan 12, 2012. I just give what I produce to her and she distributes them as she knows best.
I must admit, I do enjoy creating something useful. That's the fun of it.
