Learning to Fly
I love the places that my book, You Want Me to Do WHAT? Journaling for Caregivers, has taken me.

I am learning to fly one day at a time. Some days I take one small step and other days I take a giant (flying) leap. One hour I might take three steps forward and the next I might take two steps back. Spinning my wheels may also be a part of learning to fly--once I get out of the moment and gain some perspective.

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked to introduce myself by writing something that others did not know about me. I listed all of the jobs (paid and unpaid) that I had held. Astounding. I felt just like Jimmy Stewart discovering he'd had a wonderful life. Every job, experience, relationship, triumph, and tragedy is a feather in my wings. Life has been an outstanding teacher, and more will be revealed.
