Career: Advertising copywriter, Copy Chief, mid-sized Chicago ad agency, now retired and writing what I wish to. Also craftswoman who taught knitting, crochet, quilting, etc. in Chicago Junior Colleges evening classes, where I wrote texts for classes which are still used throughout the state. Founded craft co-op that is still active in Oak Park, Illinois, along with an art co-op and the Oak Park Arts Council. Moved to my 'Spiritual Home,' San Francisco, CA in 1985, acquired a Macintosh computer, taught seniors how to use computers and started writing for myself. I'm on my ninth Mac and still teaching once in awhile. I'm your usual Mac snob--no PCs.

Because my father was an excellent salesman (Regional Sales Manager), we were moved about constantly by General Motors, going from Chevy to Cadillac over the years, so I lived in most of the large cities east of Chicago, coming to San Francisco from the age of 16 and every time I could after that, until I finally moved here for good.
