Art gives an overview of the book:

Our philosophy of life is incomplete without both science and religion.      Is Love the only God we need? The Bible says God is Love. If God is Love, then Love is God. But before we can love others with a healthy love, we first need to learn to love ourselves with a healthy Love. And that requires self-honesty, penitence, and a lively conscience. I explore what I have seen in myself that hindered my own healthy self-love. And as someone who has suffered from suicidal depression off and on throughout my life due to bipolar disorder, I have had to learn to face myself with sometimes painful self-honesty.       At the same time, my avid interest in science led me to try to reconcile science with my Christian upbringing. And Quantum Theory suggests there must be a higher Mind creating our world.      Filled with self-deprecating humor, this book is a sincerely humorous attempt to narrow the gap between science and religion using a philosophical perspective of Quantum Theory as a bridge, while offering advice on what keeps us from healthy self-love.      I also explore Humanity’s evolutionary past and future, and yes, I explore what 2012 might mean for us.

We all shine with our own small light;Together, we blaze like the Sun.        With the evolution of the reptilian brain we had an intense new bodily awareness. Out of this arose self-centered competition that drove us to be selfishly inconsiderate of other living beings. Our suffering is our growing pains, as we outgrow our lizard-brained ways. At the right time, God sent us the Buddha to introduce us to one another with a new consciousness. Through compassion, we are aware of each other in a way that will keep us from destroying ourselves. Buddha introduced us to Interpersonal consciousness.      Again, when the time was right, God sent Jesus to introduce us to Transpersonal Consciousness. Now we are aware that our Highest self is our unified Collective Consciousness, and that the way we live our lives contributes to what we (want to) believe (explicitly and implicitly) Humanity is all about. The teachings of Jesus are an obvious continuation and expansion of the Buddha’s message to us. May we no longer be divided over trivial issues when our Love for each other is the only thing that can unite us. To unite in Love is to ignite Loves Light. If God is Love, then Love is God. And if Love is God, then Love is Life. Thank You for making me aware of Love.

I am an avid seeker in the realm of the evolution of human consciousness. Years of struggling with suicidal depression led me to search out what kept me from a healthy self-love, and that led me into trying to understand what was going on in my brain. From there, I developed...
