I want to call your attention to a favorite diva, out of LA, Sweet Baby J'ai. Run, don't walk to get your hands on her new cd, Sweet Baby J'ai, Introducing J'ai Michel. I've had the pleasure of following this singer's career since it's inception, a couple of decades ago. Sweet Baby J'ai got her start in small, smoky, LA clubs. She now plays major venues at home and abroad. I always catch Sweet Baby's J'ai's show when she's in San Francisco at Biscuits & Blues.
I was in the audience on July 2 when the Kansas City native was celebrating the release of her third cd, Sweet Baby J'ai, Introducing J'ai Michel. SBJ gave another rousing performance, bringing the house down with her wash board playing blues and rich, sultry, voice. The girl has got a set of pipes on her!
Regular fans pulled on their waistbands, and displayed their underwear as Sweet Baby J'ai belted out her signature tune, Meet Me With Your Black Drawers On. She thrust the mike in front of reluctant audience members and got them to sing, Meet Me With Your Black Drawers On. A good time was had by all!
But, perhaps the biggest treat was hearing Sweet Baby J'ai's new material from her latest album. She does more than justice to At Last and Summertime. But, my favorites cuts also include the sassy, Think You Know Everything, the sultry Sweet Corrine and the sexy, You Were Great Last Night. I keep listening to Sweet Baby J'ai , Introducing J'ai Michel, produced and arranged by Jane Getz. I just can't get enough of it! email@example.com
