"Smuggled words" is the theme of this afternoon's poetry reading in Hoboken, near Antwerp. Eight poets: Bart Stouten, Peter Holvoet-Hanssen, Richard Foqué, Peter Theunynck, Lebuin D'Haese, Roger Nupie, myself, Frank De Vos (the organizer) and Michaël Van Den Bril will each read for around seven minutes.
There will also be music: On the guitar, Tom Zwijsen, folksinger Gido Van Gent and troubadour Frank De Vos as Quirilan
The kiosk is situated in a small park and the activity is blessed with a good wheather forecast for this afternoon. I am smuggling words from different locations: Anécho, the Croatian Isle of Brac', from 'lost memory land', Rome, Nigeria, a laundromat, the Cerbats. And yes I timed them: it are seven minutes...
It are poems from Werkwoorden-Workbook (wib 2010) and Traces-Sporen (wib 2012)
