where the writers are
A New Year

Here we are already halfway through the month of January and I wonder if people have already forgotten their resolutions.  What were they?  Did you write them down?  Did you write a detailed list of what you want to accomplish, how you will do them and what you need to get them done?

What steps are you taking to make those goals happen?  Do you have something to remind you every day to think about them and to work them out?  Do you have moral support for them?

As we move into the year, it is important to keep our focus on what we need to complete, not for anyone else, but for ourselves.

You are important and in order to help and guide others on their path, you need to know where you are going.

I hope that your journey this year has made a great start and wish you all the best on an amazing journey!

Not this year!

My girlfriend's resolution this year was to lose 30 pounds. As I am much in need of taking that weight off of her and onto myself, I decided my resolution would be to GAIN 30. Normally, I would handle my resolutions very strictly for the first couple of weeks, slip the next few, and then come to the conclusion that since I have slipped, the resolution is moot and it should just roll on over to next year...at which point I forget the old resolution and begin anew. However, this year I hope to stick to this. It won't be easy though, as I have been cursed(or some would say blessed!)with a lightning fast metabolism all my life and it is very difficult for me to stay at a desired weight, let alone put on a few. Either way, if she doesn't accomplish her goal then maybe I'll be given a pass on this one for effort! Thanks!

With gratitude

Hi Robin! Thanks for your comment and I wish you both the best with getting it done. Losing weight is one of the hardest thing to do, next to quitting smoking. One of the most important things for her to do is to be active. With most jobs being very inactive, we tend to fall into that and when we get home, continue to sit around and eat what we want and the pounds come on.  As we age, our metabolism slows and the pounds pile up.  I am and will continue to blog about different topics on being healthy, losing weight, staying positive and on track with your goals.
