Bright spring sunlight,
strengthen my bones and my resolve.
Gently caress my battle scars-
those easily seen and the others,
so carefully hidden from view.
Embrace me with your warm golden arms,
Sinking into my skin and touching my heart.
Yellow light behind closed eyelids,
radiate throughout my body,
and heal my soul.
I'm digesting the changes in my life, and sometimes it gives me heartburn.”
