Red Letter Day
Blog Post by Annette Talbert - Apr.12.2012 - 7:33 pm
Red letter day,
happiness overflows.
Heart swells as I look at you,
standing next to your painting-
your smile brighter than the colors on the canvas.
I feel tears prick my eyes,
reading with pride of your
big night- your film is well received.
Two creative souls,
Babies once sheltered in my arms
Now pursuing their separate dreams.
Special day, forever marked in scarlet,
My red letter day.
I'm digesting the changes in my life, and sometimes it gives me heartburn.”
