Dusky skin,
rosy cheeks,
a little rosebud mouth.
Ten tiny fingers
with seashell nails
open and close like tiny starfish.
Jet black swirls of hair
curl around her tiny skull~

Thanks Jane,
Don't they look like chubby starfish? Babies look like they were formed in the sea, which is strangely accurate when you think about them swimming inside that warm salty ocean of fluid inside their Mommy's tummy.
This poem aptly describes my daughter at birth.
