A Quart of Stress
Blog Post by Annette Talbert - Sep.01.2012 - 10:41 am
Stress.
It weighs heavy on the mind,
and on the body.
Stress weighs exactly 1.6 pounds.
It takes up space,
taking over brain cells.
Pushing out rational thought,
making the mind sluggish and dull.
It swells the cells of the body,
increasing and growing until
buttons strain and waistbands pinch.
Gorged on a quart of stress,
now bloated with regret.
