She would have been tickled by the Big Bang she set off with her death, about two weeks shy of her 93rd birthday. But she knew that video of June 2010 would haunt her forever. She worried that the mess would be the first line of her obituary. Hardly. She lived long enough where the incident migrated down page from the lead. What has been correctly and heartwarmingly pointed out was that the woman had guts of steel. We're not to see her like again, I am sorry to say.
I wrote this story in 2008, when she bounced back from an illness and went back to work.
