In immersion, we do not lose ourselves in the complete engulfment—we actually expand and transform.  In this complete connection with an other, whether that is with another person, God, nature, idea, piece of artwork or music, humankind, or universe, we are enriched, strengthened, comforted, and revitalized in the deepest part of our individual selves.  We are propelled and pulled to the forward edge of our selves, open to expanding beyond our comfort zones into the connection.  And it feels wonderful!  And even beyond the sheer pleasure we feel when we are immersed, we are at our very best and can stretch towards our full potentials.  Experiences of immersion expand and transform us.~Anne Paris, PhD
