Anne is a professional freelance writer for trade and consumer magazines, is a former public relations director for an advertising agency, and also operated her own consulting firm.
While living in Virginia, Anne became a Master Gardener and, with the help of her dedicated husband, her vegetable and flower gardens became a place of discovery for their children, now ages 11 and nine.
The family moved to Illinois and Anne volunteered at her children's elementary school learning garden. This successful seed-to-harvest vegetable garden project for more than 400 second-graders is the inspiration behind Our Generous Garden.
I'm the author of Our Generous Garden, which follows elementary students as they plan, plant and harvest a school vegetable garden, and donate 900 pounds of produce to their local food bank. I also operate a website, www.GardenABCs.com, a share-site for educators, parents and advocates who want to start and maintain school and community gardens.
In addition, I write non-fiction articles for trade and consumer magazines on topics ranging from general business to weddings, stationery / invitations, meetings & events, and even pest control.
