Anjuelle Floyd is the author of Keeper of Secrets…Translations of an Incident, a collection of interconnected short stories, and a novel, The House, October 2010 that the 2011 Readers’ Favorite Awards recognized in 2 genres: Honorable in Christian Fiction, and Finalist in Dramatic Fiction. Her third work, Seasons in Purdah, a novel, is due out in 2012.
Anjuelle is also a licensed psychotherapist specializing in Mother-Daughter Relations and Dreams.
Anjuelle conducted the Master Fiction Class at the 2008 Winter Literary Festival hosted by The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. The 2008 Issue of Windhover, the Literary Journal of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor features her short story, Eucharist, that was later published in Kaleidoscope, the journal for the United Disabilities Services.
A graduate of Duke University, Anjuelle received her MA in Counseling Psychology from The California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco. She has attended The Dominican Institute of Philosophy and Theology of the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, California.
Anjuelle earned a MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, Port Townsend, Washington. She has also received certificates of participation from The Hurston-Wright Writers’ Week and The Voices of Our Nations Writing Workshops.
A student of Process Painting for over a decade, Anjuelle has participated in the annual Art of Living Black Exhibitions 2004 through 2011 held at the Richmond Art Center, Richmond, California.
Anjuelle hosts a blog talk radio show, Book Talk, Creativity and Family Matters.
Anjuelle facilitates writing groups and provides individual consultation of fiction projects. A wife of 29 years, and mother of 3, ages 12 yrs, 19 yrs, and 24-yrs-old, she also gives talks on The Healing Power of the Mothers Loving Daughters, The Need for Family, and The Writing Process as a Path Towards Self-discovery and Healing.
