January 14, 1506 was an exciting day to be in Rome.  Michelangelo was called in as a witness as the greatest discovery of his day was made:  the Laocoon. 

Or was he?  Some experts believe that perhaps Michelangelo orchestrated the event himself -- forging what is perhaps considered the greatest work of ancient art.
