Angela C Render's Biography

By profession a web developer, Angela Render moonlights as a fiction writer and is known among her peers for building complex and believable fantasy and science fiction worlds to set her novels in.

Her work has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine online, Business Monthly and in the Maryland Writers’ Association’s anthology, New Lines From the Old Line State. Her historical fiction, Forged By Lightning: A Novel of Hannibal and Scipio, was published in 2002, and she had a column in Writers' Journal called "Computer Business."

She regularly teaches writers how to build a marketing platform at The Writers' Center in Bethesda, Maryland and the first edition of her companion workbook, Marketing for Writers: A Practical Workbook was released in December, 2008, the expanded second edition in January of 2012. She released Digital Age Marketing: A Practical Workbook for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses in March of 2013

She has been a guest speaker for the Maryland Writer's Association, the Bay to Ocean Writers' Conference, Balticon, Fabulous Mom's Expo, and other local venues. She also teaches classes and gives private consultations on blogging, Internet Marketing, social media.
