Serendipity ... August 2012
WELCOME NEW AND LONG TIME SUBSCRIBERS!
Serendipity is not your traditional style newsletter. It is Angel Logan's unique way of reaching out to her readers and friends – to stay in touch, to give updates on her writing career, and to share a few of the personal and professional pearls of wisdom that she has acquired along her journey. It is great to have you here, and Angel hopes you enjoy reading this month's Serendipity.
HI EVERYONE! I hope all of you are enjoying this hot summer. I know that I am! In fact, I enjoyed bright and sunny days every day at the pool and beach in Maine last month during our annual vacation. As always, Dana and I had a wonderful time and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Naturally we socialized with some of our good friends and family there and we enjoyed some delicious Maine lobster! Well -- I enjoyed the lobster, while Dana enjoyed steak, (HAHA) because he doesn't care for seafood. We walked along the beach late at night, which is always nice to do and basked in the sun next to the pool during the day. I'm happy to say that neither of us suffered from any sunburns this year and we came home with nice tans.

During our visit, we met an extremely talented young man who is pursuing his dream of becoming a professional artist. I have to say that I admired him, because despite the economy and challenges of finding the appropriate job after college -- he is working with unyielding dedication to achieve his goals. For many, it is easier to settle into a profession that provides a steady paycheck, while sacrificing joy and passion. However, he is creating artwork daily and actively executing a well-thought-out plan to turn his art into a career. I think it takes great courage and determination to pursue any dream without allowing defeat to become an option. I am confident that he will be quite successful and we will be cheering him on from the sidelines.
When we returned to Massachusetts, I ran into a friend who wants to publish his own children's book. While I won't be doing the writing this time, because the work was already completed -- he will be utilizing my company services to facilitate the publication of his book. I love being part of the process and helping others to make their writing dreams come true, and I think this will be an excellent children's book!!
Finally, my cousin from ATL is going to be performing with his band, The Crankers at Ballards Inn & Resort on Block Island, RI for the last two weeks of August. We will be seeing each other for the first time since we were kids and I'm excited to see his band play. If you happen to be in the area and enjoy listening to traditional Rock ~N~ Roll (covers and originals), you should check out his band. I may be a little biased, but he is beyond talented and you won't want to miss seeing them perform!
As always, thank you everyone for your love, friendship, and unyielding support during the past six years. I look forward to more years with all of you! Talk to you next month.
