Strathairn starred in Good Night, and Good Luck as Edward R. Murrow, for which he received an Academy Award nomination, and appears in the forthcoming film from Wong Kar Wai, My Blueberry Nights. He has been in numerous other films including Silkwood, The River Wild, L.A. Confidential, Missing in American and The Notorious Bettie Page. He has performed on and off Broadway in Dance of Death, Hannah and Martin, Rodney’s Wife, Salome, Hapgood, The Birthday Party and more.
Now in its 20th season, “Selected Shorts” is produced for radio by Symphony Space and WNYC, New York Public Radio. The award-winning program is heard locally on Saturdays at 3 p.m. on WSHU (FM 91.1).
