GuyWriters Presents: Novel Discussions Featuring Rob Rosen, Andrew Demcak, and Vincent Meis

GuyWriters will welcome local gay novelists Rob Rosen (Queerwolf, Southern Fried), Andrew Demcak (If There is a Heaven Above) and Vincent Meis (Tio Jorge, Eddie’s Desert Rose). The authors will not only read from their latest books, but take part in a Q&A with attendees. They will discuss their writing process, the ideas behind their recent books, and how their novels went from inspiration to words on the page. The guys will also answer questions about publishing and the best strategies for getting your work out to the public. Questions will be taken from the audience.

Whether you are an up-and-coming author or just a fan of these novelists, join GuyWriters for a night of great prose and great novel discussions.

Admission: $5. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Author Bios:

Rob Rosen is the author of several novels, including Southern Fried, Sparkle: The Queerest Book You’ll Ever Love,Divas Las Vegas, Hot Lava, and Queerwolf. He has edited the anthology,Lust in Time. Rob is an avid writer of short stories, and has had his work published in over 170 anthologies worldwide. He is a New York native and a graduate from Emory University in Atlanta. Andrew Demcak published his first novel, If There is a Heaven Above, January 31, 2013. Previously, Andrew published several poetry collections, including Catching Tigers in Red Weather, A Single Hurt Color, Zero Summer and Night Chant. His work has been published in anthologies, both online and in print. He lives in Oakland and works for the Oakland Public Library. Vincent Meis is the author of Eddie’s Desert Rose and Tio Jorge. Vincent lives in San Francisco where he is a teacher, editor, and writer.
