"Tales from the Expat Harem: Foreign Women in Modern Turkey"
This compilation of real-life stories, edited by Istanbul residents Anastasia Ashman and Jennifer Eaton, who both married Turkish guys, brings together tidbits from the experiences of dozens of foreign women in Turkey. It's a bit of a sanitized version of life as an expat female, but the stories do entertain and inform. Read about navigating male-female relationships and one woman's really close shave in a Turkish hamam.
