Cat Writers Association (www.catwriters.org) presents annual writing awards and writer conference the weekend before Thanksgiving. Usually presented in tandem with a cat show, the seminars are not cat-specific but rather craft focussed, and open to the public. The 2010 events took place in White Plains, New York, and the 2011 events will return to the same venue.
