But I endure
for I--I am not like ordinary sand
that lets itself be washed away with the tides.
No I--I am patiently waiting on shore
for lightning to touch me
and turn me from a grain of sand
into a fusion of technicolored sea glass
with razor edges,
and I will cut my way through their watery lives
and finally into their minds.
