Amitabha Bagchi was born in New Delhi in 1974. He got his BTech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi and a PhD in the same discipline from Johns Hopkins University. Above Average is his first novel, published in 2007 by HarperCollins, India. His writings have also appeared in various places including Time Out Delhi, The Little Magazine and The Baltimore Review. Amitabha is married and lives in Delhi.
