Were lost. Juan my brother is in the back seat, Amanda’s in the passenger seat and I’m driving. I have no clue where I am; it’s the one part of Cambridge I don’t know. After pretending I knew where I was I gave in and admitted that I was lost.

“I told you,” Juan chuckled busting my balls. “Pull over and ask for directions. Amanda, ask that lady right over there”

Juan directed.

I pull up beside some lady, Amanda rolls her window down and I swear one of the funniest “you had to be there moments” occurred. Amanda leans her neck out the window and say’s in her best shy mousey voice, “Eck..cuse me?”

She says it again and then two more times. Finally my brother said, ”Amanda I’m right next to you and I can’t hear you”

Amanda looks embarrassed. The lady never heard a peep from the car. Juan and me are dying hysterically. It was the cutest uncomfortable two words I had ever heard. “Eck..cuse me.” She would never hear the end of it.

From that moment I loved watching her feel embarrassed. She was too cute to be uncomfortable. It makes me smile even thinking about it.
