I've been writing, in one way or another, for as long as I can remember. I was always a big reader. Growing up my favorite author was Judy Blume. When I was in third grade my parents divorced, and I'd sit in my room writing in my journal and creating my stories. I have a tendency to embellish and love to entertain people. In high school, I was lucky enough to have a big group of girlfriends and an amazing boyfriend that have really inspired a lot of the stories in my books. My friends from that time are still my closest friends, so it's never very hard to put myself back into that place, that voice. Also it doesn't hurt to still be living in my hometown, where my memories of those times are everywhere I turn.I attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Fl and majored in Elementary Education. After college I returned to my hometown with more stories and characters to share. I have always loved writing but it wasn't until my mother passed away that I decided to share my writing with the public.I just finished writing my first young adult novel and I am in the process of looking for an agent. I have had some of my short stories published on websites and also write the blog City Living Puppy.
