Alise is an Accountant by trade, and a closet comedian by upbringing. She grew up #5 of six children born into an ultimately caring, but COMPLETELY dysfunctional (aka Catholic) family. At a very early age, and quite by necessity, she discovered the only way her voice was going to be heard above the din was via diversion – and a great amount of self deprecating humor. She was a googly-eyed, frizzy-haired wallflower that stuttered like a jackhammer, who quickly learned that if she couldn’t laugh at herself (like everyone else was), she was going to be a VERY lonely little girl.
She is currently working on a soon to be published autobiography, along with a collection of poetry and ramblings. (She feels it necessary to publish simultaneously in order to distract her family). Her humorous observations are biting and (sadly quite often), all too true, and likened to that of the legendary “Flying Circus”. In the televised words of a true comedic genius, (from an advertisement for a well known credit extending Giant that shall remain nameless), her heartfelt mission is “to turn the ridiculous into the sublime…”
Out of dysfunction comes laughter; cuz after all - if you can’t laugh at yourself, there’s gonna be bloodshed.
