Dammit, I swore those Transactians wouldn't fleece me again - yet here I am in possession of a late-model positronic rabbit (complete with integral Web-browser). I mean, I don't know about you, but having a discussion about the finer points of Spinoza's "Ethics" with a small furry mammal can be a little disquieting - especially after a couple of hours in Ten Forward. It doesn't help that the little bugger can run intellectual rings around me, either - though I wouldn't mind that so much if he didn't insist on smirking when he drives home a particularly salient point. Still, it beats discussing the history of tromobonology with number two - or wading through his theory on why Phil Collins managed to achieve universal fame despite the lack of any discernible talent, charisma or musical ability...all of which seems positively attractive in comparison to listening to Whoopi Goldberg pontificate on the nature of the universe - it's the smug beatific thing I can't take, you understand...Anyhow - I have to call by Lt. Williams' quarters - I hear he picked up a positronic greyhound - I'm sure my little fellow would love to meet him....
I started another blog a couple of days ago, when I found out that people looking for Poetry-related blogs were avoiding this one, thinking I was just some kind of loonie Trekkie(I am NOT a trekkie!) - anyhow, it's one great poem a day, with a potted analysis of why the poem works (opinions may vary....results not typical...) I don't know why I'm taking on extra things - I don't have enough time as it is, and it's all kinda flitty, if you really want to know the truth of it. Very big deal. This stuff just kills me - I'm not kidding.(must.. stop...chanelling...Holden...Caulfield...)...
