Red Room "Night of 100 Authors"
15 Jul 2008 10:40 am

On Tuesday, July 15, 2008, Jennifer Mazzoni on behalf of Red Room CEO Ivory Madison invited over a hundred Bay Area and National writers, who have Author Pages at the site, to attend a reception at Tosca's, the legendary hangout for San Francisco literatti and celebrities. The event, which took place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the North Beach watering hole, was well attended. A listing of many of the well known writers I met there is attached along with a gallery of photos. I was particularly impressed by meeting Colby Buzzell, author of MY WAR: KILLING TIME IN IRAQ, on which a recent Oscar nominated short anime film was based. Humorists Will and Debbie Durst were hosts of the party, and at one point, Ms. Madison addressed the crowd. Staffers Thomas Dotson, Abraham Mertens, and Heather Goyette, as always, were most helpful.
