Day 97: Macresarf1's Year of the Apocalypse 2012 -- Trying to Get Back on Schedule

Rain coming on the morrow.

I slept well, but my left leg remains swollen and sore. [Thumped it getting into a cab, which didn't help it much!]  Son Guy was very helpful to me despite his now heavy cold.

Kaiser called to schedule the EKG that the my primary care physician discussed with me yesterday.  Set for the end of this month, as a precaution.

I caught up on my Email, returned some nice pokes, but was not able  continue my poetry commitment with CJ.

I watched a documentary about The Great Tulsa Race Riot of 1921.  I have an interest in that event, as we all should, because the deaths and destruction was the greatest Post-Civil War event of its kind in American History.  My old friend, BAMBO-BAMBO, lives there now, and my research for a review of Stanley Kubrick's THE SHINING led me to the Riot, and a number of other things.

You might be interested in my epinion of that film.  The reviewis long and complex, but I'm pleased at how my insights and perceptions seem to have held up from over a decade ago:

To think that all the mayhem, by most accounts, started when a black man tripped stepping into an elevator and scared the white female operator.

Macresarf1 would write no more this day.
