Day 26: Macresarf1's Year of the Apocalypse 2012

Relatively warm day, cool night.

The CNN Debate this evening, from Jacksonville, Florida, was a strange affair. [They have all been strange affairs!]  The four Republican Candidates for the Presidency were more evenly matched tonight than ever before.  I thought that Ron Paul had his best night, expressing himself logically and fully, with a minimum of craziness.  Rick Santorum's forcefulness was balanced by an underlying viciousness which would guarantee him to be the most fearsome of all the possible worthies.  Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney practically destroyed each other, fighting toe to toe, backtracking on their own and each other's previous positions.  President Obama's impossible position began to look more tenable.

I was struck by how much the CNN team of commentators were overbalanced in favor of former Governor Obama.  Ari Fleisher, a particularly loathsome former G.W. Bush employee led the pack in showing a prejudice toward Romney.  He was opposed, handily at times, by David Gergen.

Thus passed Day 26 of the Year of the Apocalypse 2012.

Macresarf1 would write no more this day.
