Warm outside, cold in here.
Son Guy slept all day.
The day moved swiftly, with a sense of having to catch up, as always.
Isabella from Dr. B.'s office called to say that he has mailed a prescription for handrails in our bathroom, which should arrive by the end of this week, or early next.
In the early evening, M. called, followed by L., to say that Son Jason is being entered into hospital for his infected hand, where he was bitten by the cat. Both Guy and I suggested to him strongly that he should take the wound to a doctor, when he showed it to us last week. The advice was repeated several times, to no avail. One of the ladies observed rather profanely something about "a hard head" having "a soft ass." I phoned the hospital but could only get that his condition was stable and that they were finding him a bed.
Later, in the evening, I watched portions of the climactic session of Chairman Issa's House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, at which, following the reception of a White House letter invoking Executive Privilege, the Republican Majority voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in Contempt of Congress for not turning over supoenaed emails and documents in the "Fast 'n Furious Case." The stupidity of the Administration's handling of this matter further suggests incompetence or chicanery. The full House will take up the matter next week if a compromise can't be reached.
SIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE: The failure of the Obama Administration to investigate and prosecute all corrupt actions under the Bush tenure is now looming as an additional nail in Obama's political coffin in an Election Year.
Macresarf1 would not write more this day.
