Another pleasant day, turning cool on toward evening. Woke with my nasal passages closed and my lungs hurting.
Son Guy feeling better today. He did the laundry, bustled in and out a good deal.
The computer is ailing, and there is nothing much I can do about it for a couple of days, so pretty much a down day. I did prepare a couple of important business letters, which Guy mailed.
After doing as much as I could with the computer, I took a nap.
Shortly after I roused myself, about five o'clock, Son Jason called at the door. He sat around with me watching a CIA bum justify torturing people on 60 MINUTES. The second story was about a rather remarkable Mexican woman, the granddaughter of Leon Trotsky, who is working medical miracles here in America.
Jason left before MAD MEN, which tonight was very dark, with a series of vignettes about people putting other people down. Subtle hints about how certain of these matters affect Don Draper were evident, but I wish that we could receive another insightful installment from Draper's past. That enigma is what keeps the show together in the larger sense.
THE BORGIAS saw the Pope engineer the destruction of two warring armies, and then draw back with the help of Caesera.
Hungry now. Going to get something to eat. Vaguely worried.
Macresarf1 would write no more this day.
